Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction
Welcome to Lamrin Hotels and Resorts. By accessing our website (www.lamrinhotels.com) or making a reservation with any of our properties in North Goa, Rishikesh, or Palampur, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. These terms govern your use of our services, including bookings, stays, and interactions with our staff and facilities. Lamrin Hotels and Resorts reserves the right to amend these terms at any time without prior notice. Updated terms will be posted on our website, and it is your responsibility to review them before booking or staying with us.
2. Reservations
- Booking Process: Reservations can be made directly through our website, by phone (+91 70 4243 9446, +91 95 6040 0674, +91 97 3603 1300), or via email (reservations@lamrinhotels.com). All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation.
- Guaranteed Reservations: A valid credit/debit card or advance payment is required to secure your reservation. No charges will be deducted at the time of booking unless specified (e.g., for prepaid or promotional rates).
- Guest Information: Guests must provide accurate personal details, including full name, contact information, and identification details. For Indian guests, valid identification (Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Driving License, or Passport) is mandatory at check-in. Foreign guests must present a valid passport and visa.
- Minimum Age: Guests must be at least 18 years old to make a reservation. Minors must be accompanied by an adult, and usage of our services by minors is the responsibility of the accompanying adult.
- Legitimate Use: Reservations must be made in good faith for personal use by the guest or their invited party. Reselling, speculative bookings, or fraudulent reservations are prohibited and may result in cancellation without refund.
3. Check-In and Check-Out
- Check-In Time: Standard check-in time is 2:00 PM. Early check-in is subject to availability and may incur additional charges (50% of the nightly rate for arrivals between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM; full nightly rate for arrivals before 10:00 AM).
- Check-Out Time: Standard check-out time is 12:00 PM (noon). Late check-out is subject to availability and may incur additional charges (50% of the nightly rate for departures up to 6:00 PM; full nightly rate for departures after 6:00 PM).
- Identification: Guests must present valid identification at check-in. Lamrin Hotels and Resorts reserves the right to refuse check-in if identification does not match the reservation details or if valid ID is not provided.
4. Payment Terms
- Payment Methods: We accept credit/debit cards, bank transfers, and online payment methods. Cash payments are accepted but limited to ?20,000 per bill per guest as per Government of India regulations.
- Taxes and Fees: All rates are subject to prevailing government taxes and service charges, which may vary by property and are payable by the guest at check-out.
- Pre-Authorization: A pre-authorization for the total stay cost plus a security deposit will be taken on the guest’s credit/debit card at check-in.
- No-Show Charges: In case of a no-show (failure to arrive without prior cancellation), the full reservation amount will be charged.
5. Guest Conduct
- Property Rules: Guests are expected to respect hotel property and adhere to rules, including no smoking in non-designated areas, no outside food or alcohol, and no loud music or disturbances after 10:00 PM.
- Damages: Guests are liable for any damage caused to hotel property during their stay. Charges will be levied as deemed appropriate by Lamrin Hotels and Resorts.
- Local Laws: Guests must comply with all applicable laws, including restrictions on unmarried Indian couples staying together, as per local social norms. Such bookings may be canceled upon arrival without refund.
6. Liability
- Loss or Damage: Lamrin Hotels and Resorts is not liable for loss, damage, or theft of personal belongings. Lockers are provided in guest rooms for valuables.
- Force Majeure: The hotel is not liable for failure to provide services due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to war, riots, natural disasters, strikes, government regulations, or acts of God.
- Injury or Illness: The hotel is not liable for any injury, illness, or death caused by circumstances beyond our control. Guests are responsible for their safety and well-being during their stay.
7. Promotional Offers
- Discounts: Offers such as 15% off for direct bookings or an extra night free for stays of 3+ nights at our Goa property are subject to specific terms and may not be combined with other promotions.
- Non-Refundable Rates: Promotional or discounted rates may be non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-amendable. Guests must review restrictions before booking.
8. Privacy
- Data Protection: Personal information provided during booking is protected using secure technology. Guest details may be profiled from public domains to enhance hospitality services, with consent implied by booking.
- Third Parties: We do not share guest information with third parties except as required by law or for operational purposes (e.g., payment processing).
9. Modifications and Cancellations
- By Hotel: Lamrin Hotels and Resorts reserves the right to cancel or modify reservations if they are fraudulent, incomplete, or in violation of these terms.

10. Intellectual Property
- Content Ownership: All content on www.lamrinhotels.com, including logos, images, and text, is the property of Lamrin Hotels and Resorts or licensed to us. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution is prohibited.
11. Governing Law
- Jurisdiction: These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in New Delhi, India.
Cancellation Policy
1. General Cancellation Policy
- Standard Cancellation Window: Cancellations made at least 15 days prior to the check-in date will incur no cancellation charges, and any advance payments will be refunded (minus applicable bank/payment gateway charges).
- Cancellations Within 15 Days:
- Cancellations made between 15 and 7 days prior to check-in will incur a 50% cancellation charge of the total booking amount or a credit note for future use (no cash refund).
- Cancellations made within 7 days of check-in, including no-shows, will be charged the full reservation amount, and no refunds or credits will be issued.
- Amendments: Amendments to bookings (e.g., change of dates, room type, or guest name) are subject to availability and must be requested at least 15 days prior to check-in. Amendments within 15 days are treated as cancellations and subject to the above charges.
- Refund Process: Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within 10-15 business days via the original payment method. Bank or payment gateway charges may apply.
- No-Show: Failure to check in on the scheduled arrival date without prior notification will result in the full reservation amount being charged, and the booking will be canceled.
- Group Bookings: For bookings of 5 or more rooms, cancellations made less than 25 days prior to check-in will incur a 100% cancellation charge for the entire stay.
2. Special Cancellation Policy During War or Conflict
- War Between India and Pakistan: In the event of an officially declared war or significant armed conflict between India and Pakistan, as recognized by the Government of India, the cancellation policy will be adjusted to protect guests. Guests may cancel their reservations without penalty if the cancellation is made at least 6 months prior to the check-in date.
- Cancellations Within 6 Months: Cancellations made less than 6 months prior to check-in during a war or conflict will be subject to the standard cancellation policy (50% charge between 15-7 days; 100% charge within 7 days or for no-shows). However, Lamrin Hotels and Resorts may, at its discretion, offer a credit note for future use in lieu of a cash refund, valid for 12 months from the date of cancellation.
- Documentation: Guests may be required to provide evidence of travel disruptions caused by the conflict (e.g., flight cancellations or travel advisories) to qualify for penalty-free cancellations.
- Force Majeure: If the hotel is unable to operate due to war, government restrictions, or other force majeure events, reservations may be canceled by the hotel with a full refund or a credit note for future use, at the hotel’s discretion.
3. Peak Season and Promotional Rates
- Peak Season: During high-demand periods (e.g., Diwali, Dussehra, Christmas, New Year, 20th December to 2nd January), all reservations are non-refundable and non-amendable. Cancellations during these periods will incur a 100% charge, regardless of the cancellation date.
- Promotional Rates: Bookings made under discounted or promotional rates (e.g., 15% off for direct bookings or extra night free for 3+ nights) are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-amendable unless otherwise specified.
4. Cancellation Procedure
- Notification: Cancellations must be communicated via email to reservations@lamrinhotels.com or by phone (+91 70 4243 9446, +91 95 6040 0674, +91 97 3603 1300). The cancellation is effective only upon receipt of a confirmation from Lamrin Hotels and Resorts.
- Confirmation: Guests must provide their booking reference number when requesting a cancellation or amendment.
- Third-Party Bookings: For reservations made through third-party platforms, cancellations must be processed through the respective platform, subject to their terms and our cancellation policy.
5. Exceptions
- Government Restrictions: If travel bans or government restrictions prevent guests from traveling, Lamrin Hotels and Resorts may waive cancellation charges at its discretion, provided guests provide documentation (e.g., official travel advisories). A credit note valid for 12 months may be issued instead of a refund.
- Special Circumstances: In cases of medical emergencies or other unforeseen circumstances, guests may request a review of cancellation charges. Such requests will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, and a credit note may be offered at the hotel’s discretion.
